Charged for hours worked from someone on salary

I am being charged to fix a security loophole.

I have recieved a bill for work that was done that i supposibly caused that charges me for employee hours worked. I know that these employees are both payed salary, can they charge me for their hours worked?

One of these employees is a network administrator for a school. I supposibly caused damage to the computer system. Can they charge me for the hours the administrator worked if ''Fixing network problems'' is in her job discription?

Re: Charged for hours worked from someone on salary

If in fact you caused damage to equipment belonging to another, or caused an economic loss to another, then you are responsible for the cost to put it right. This is true regardless of whether or not someone else is paying for the repair - you are not entitled to "piggyback" on that payment if you intentionally or negligently harmed another in some way which resulted in economic loss.
