Legal Question in Technology Law in Indiana

internet purchases by a young teen

We gave our teen permission to use an avatar chat sight. the next thing we notice charges on our credit cards for points purchases unknowingly by our teenage daughter. She apparently got a hold of a credit card and set up the account. Are we legally responsible for these imaginary purchases such as avatar cloths and jewelry that are placed on an imaginary avatar figure?

You will need to access the TOU (terms of use) for the site and determine the basis for the charges.

THen go to your CC company and dispute the charges as unauthorized ( since a minor incurred them without consent).Call or email for further assistance.
