Legal Question in Consumer Law in Indiana

Right to advertising materials paid for

Do I have a right to a file that contains a catalog created for me by a design corporation three years ago? They designed to catalog and sent a copy to a printer, howver I never recieved a copy myself. They were paid for the creation of the catalog.

I understand I may have to pay for the time spent creating another copy and the disk used, however they are being difficult and do not want to relinquish the file without unheard of costs.

Please advise, thank you!

Not necessarily. If you contracted to have them prepare and print a catalogue only, then no, you probably don't have a right to the computer file they created. You should have an attorney review the contract to be certain.
