Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I am a disabled widow. My only sourse of income is my social security disability benifit. I have no assets. I rent a low income apartment and dont own a car. A credit card company has filed a judgement against me in federal court and I have recieved a summons to appear. Do I have to appear and what can the judge do to me?

If you fail to appear or otherwise respond to the Complaint, most likely a judgment will be issued against you in favor of the CC company. Looks like you may be what is called "judgment proof", but you should let an attorney review the Complaint against you for a more detailed opinion.
