Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

is it legal to collect on sundays?

I was told by 2 different people that it is ilegal to collect a dept. on sundays or otherwords the sabaith. Can you tell me where I can find this law at? I dont know if it is a indiana state law or a federal law. Please help.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act assumes that the convenient times to call are between 8 am and 9 pm. There is no mention that Sunday is prohibited. Indiana has a telemarketing act that may differ when solicitors can call. But generally, Sunday calls are not prohibited.
