Liens and Garnishes
Can a creditor put and lien on your home and then garnish your wages at the same time?
Re: Liens and Garnishes
Yes. Under Indiana Law, a judgement becomes a lien against all real estate owned by the debtor if the judgement is entered or recorded in the county where the real estate is located and stays as alien until the debt is satisfied.
The creditor can also take action in proceedings supplemental to collect on the judgement including garnishment.
