Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Quit Claim

I am recently disabled and have multiple medical and other bills that I cannot pay. If i did a quit claim to my daughter would that prevent the creditors from attaching liens to the property? I get SSDI of $733/mo and by the time I pay mortgage, utilities and buy my meds there is nothing left. I have little equity in the property. Also, can they garnish my SSDI? I would prefer to pay all the bills but there are so many and most will not accept what I could pay every month. Thank you

Re: Quit Claim

Creditors could come back and undo the transaction as a "fraudulent transfer". Your better option might be filing bankruptcy and discharging the debt alltogether. If you'd like more information on bankruptcy you can check out my firm's web site. Good Luck
