Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

statute of limitations on collecting a debt

I think there is a statute of limitation in years as to collecting a debt in Indiana and/or Kentucky. I think it is 6 years, but If possible could you tell me the number of the law? I'd like to be able to quote it to a company that is trying to collect on an 8 year repo that my husbands son incurred--my husband co-signed like any parent would--once--then never again. Thanks
