Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Summons for wage garnishment

Am I right that if I make only $100 a week my wages cant be garnished? Also, I get SS and so does my husband, so my bank account cant be touched? I am the one being sued not my husband and we have a joint bank account. We only own one car between us and its not paid for as well as our house. I cant be forced to sell either house or car, correct? The creditor demanded info on wages from my employer, when they find out I dont make enough to garnish, will they likely drop the court case?

You are correct about the wage garnishment and the Social Security. From what you have given me here, I cannot say for sure about the assets. I have an article here that may answer your question about assets: http://haslerlaw.blogspot.com/2008/01/collections-law-indianas-exemption-laws.html
