Re: Threats

First, document as much as possible the date, times and content of the threats. Keep a log. In Indiana you can record conversations to which you are a party without advising the other person. Record, record, record: It is great evidence in court. Keep in mind you are recording yourself also. Watch your language and conductwhile recording if you expect a court to have any simpathy for you. Also keep the conversations short. The court will not want to sit through 15 forty-five minute conversations. And in your log, make notes of the date and time of each conversation and note the topics covered. Then make police reports and then contact the local prosecutor. There is a statute in Indiana called Intimadation. It is a class D felony.
