Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

i dont understand

i have recently been charged with (1)burgalry c felony (2)burgalry c

felony (3) attempted burglary and (4) criminal mischief. me and a friend

went to some storage buildings and cut 2 bolt locks and opened the door

to the storage unit. we did go into the storage unit bu we did not

steal anything. i do nt understand how they can charge me with attempted

burglary and burglary. Saying that i did steal something (which i didnt)

i do not understand how they could charge me with attempted brglary if

they think i did steal something. And i do not know what to do about

them charging me with burglary they searched the vehicle we were in and

did not find any stoln property. so i do not know what to do. please

help me!!!

The elements of Burglary are: 1) breaking or entering; 2) the building or structure of another; 3) with intent to commit a felony therein. The Burglary is complete upon breaking and entering with the necessary intent. The State does not have to prove Theft, and Theft is neither an element nor a lesser included offense of Burglary.
