Adoption History

I was adopted in ''50s-born in Gary, Indiana. Alady contacted me who now lives in Tennessee and states she believes she is my mother. How can she or I see my birth records or adoption papets to verify. Or what are the steps to obtain that information?

You will need to contact the court that handled your adoption in Gary, IN. I recommend that you contact the Bar association there for a referral to an attorney that handles Family Law .
