Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Child in vehicle

I have a ten year old, who was sitting in my car alone for 35 minutes, it was 86 degrees outside, the windows were down. Is there a certain age when children may be left in a car without supervision for short periods of time?

Re: Child in vehicle

Common sense should be applied in such situations. An 8 year old alone in a car where the child may exit and wander off, hurt him or her self or be abducted is a problem. Windows down or not.

The age of 15 or 16 may be a safer bet.
