Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Custody issue.

I have sole custody. Ex is taking child to counseling without my approval. Counseling service says they can not talk to me about Son's sessions because I am not listed on their release from which she made out. Am I not within my right to demand they speak with me?

Federal law probably does prohibit them talking to you. However, you do have sole custody and that gives you the power to determine health care for the child. I suggest that you talk with your divorce lawyer as I think there are probably more going on here than e-mail is adequate to deal with.

The counselor is probably actng appropriately without a court order directing them to produce the records. However, you can obtain a court order in your divorce case for the records and possibly obtain a contempt order agaisnt the other parent. You should see an attorney.
