Can an immediate family member file for emergency custody of a child if they feel their life's in danger ?

Yes.. You should contact an attorney as soon as possible. If you cannot find a local attorney, who can move on this immediately, it is possible that you can find a lawyer who will draft the paperwork and provide you with coaching so that you can proceed without an attorney even if he or she is not located in your area.
