Grandparents Rights Laws in Indiana

Do grandparents rights stating that a grandparent can adopt or othrtwise obtain legal custody of an abused grandchild still exist?

The statutory right of a grandparent to seek a court order to visit with a child never included a right to obtain custody or adopt a child. The "right" to do so exists from a petition to the appropriate court alleging the necessary facts for an adoption and/or change of custody.
