Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Me and my husband got guardianship of a little girl about 8 yrs ago. About 2 yrs later we adopted her. Her biological mother appealed it and it was overturned because our lawyer didn't do something he was supposed to do. We then had another hearing to get the adoption back in place however the judge never made a verdict to this day nothing either way and that was 5 years ago. My husband and I have now split up and I would like to know if the judge will order him to pay child support because he is her dad she has always called him her dad and we are the only parents she can remember. (she is a special needs child as well) He has always taken responsibility for her except now when it comes to support.
