Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Remarriage & child support

Fiancee and I are both divorced, contemplating remarriage. His ex is remarried and has custody of two teens, for whom he pays support. He is pressing to set a date. Can his ex-wife take us to court for more support (i.e., my income) if we marry?

Re: Remarriage & child support

No. Only the incomes of the parents are considering when calculating child support pursuant to the Indiana Child Support Guidelines; other household income is not a factor.

Good luck.
