Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My sister is on work release and has a 6 year old child, i will be taking her in and the school says i will need a power of attorney for my neice to enroll her. How do i get this and can i get it myself so i don't have to pay legal fees and attorney fees.

Why power of attorney? i think its not power of attorney its under guardian and wards act they are asking that your are legal guardian r not. whether you are full responsible of her? what they are asking you confirm us first? then we are able to answer you. charges you have to contact an advocate.
