What is commonly referred to as a Statute of Limitations or in this case a bar to prosecution is usually 2 or 5 years in Indiana depending on whether the charge is a misdemeanor or a felony respectively. However since other things can affect this time period and hence the answer to the question posed, it would be wise to discuss with a local attorney the facts of any situation which could lead to criminal charges.
