Legal Question in Federal Tort Claims in Indiana

Out of Pocket Expenses Check

My adjuster told me he was sending me a check for out of pocket expenses along with the forms to begin the claims process. If I cash the check did I just settle my claim with them for the amount of the check? He says no but my friends say yes.

Re: Out of Pocket Expenses Check

You do not settle an insurance claim by accepting a partial payment which is clearly understood to be so. Signing a full Release in connection with it would not be wise. If you have a doubt contact a Persona Injury attorney in your town and get specific advice.
