Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

five years ago a friend gave us his property with the term of states living rights, we are not related to him. Now since he is up in age 80's he has fallen several times and hurt his ribs. he has since moved into his sisters home. Now his relatives are seeking a lawyer stating we broke the term of the states living rights agreement. Can they legally do this even if he moved out on his own?

There is a concept known as life estate. However, you need to describe the facts better so that I can determine whether your situation fits that area of the law.
