Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana

5 months pregenant and rear-ended in my car

This evening my daughter was sitting at a red light and a young driver rear-ended her car. We are certain the car is totaled due to the type of car that it is. My daughter experienced back pain and was checked at the local hospital. I was told that it would be in our best interest not to settle with an insurance company until after the birth of the baby to make sure everything is OK. Can I get some advice on this

Has your daughter been to her OB since the accident? Don't talk to the insurance company. It is a case of clear liability. They will try to minimize the damages. If she is still having back and neck pain, she should see and orthopedist. Where did the accident happen? Was a police report made? Was she transported to the hopital by ambulance? I practice all over northern Indiana and in California. You can call me at 219-340-3890 if you have any questions.
