The age of majority in Indiana is 18 and so you are an adult. That said your question and the advice sought goes beyond the legal ability to the steps you talk about. I would urge you to discuss your plans with some people you trust (such as a teacher, counselor, coach, religious adviser) who may be able to help you explore the long term impact of the choices you're asking about. If you still wish to consult an attorney and don't know one to call, please feel free to contact my office during regular business hours. Much of my practice involves representing young people and I'll be happy to further answer your questions.
