Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Can Company Refuse to Pay for All Hours Worked

Can a company refuse to pay you for the total amount of hours you worked? For instance, I worked 46 hours over a 2 week period and the gross was $644. When I submitted my time sheet my boss told me, that he could not afford that amount and that he could only pay me $350, gross. At one point he told me he would give me a set amount of $500-600 every 2 weeks and now he is saying $350. Do I have any rights?

Re: Can Company Refuse to Pay for All Hours Worked

You are entitled to be paid for the work that you performed. It is not lawful for your employer to change your wages after the fact to deprive you of earned income. You should contact an attorney or the Indiana Department of Labor. Should you wish, I may be contacted at [email protected].
