Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Why was I fired over the affair when he wasn't?

I worked for a company for over a year and had an affair with a supervisor. When HR found out, my immediate supervisor came to my home and took my work vehicle and my work keys. I was terminated and did recieve unemployment benefits, but he still has his same position in the company. I can not find my employee hand book. Do I have a case against the company and is there a time limit on when you can make a case? This happened 3 months ago.

While I would need some more information about your employer, it sounds like you were the victim of gender discrimination. You have 300 days from the date of your termination to bring a claim in Indiana. If you would like more information about how to take action against the company, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or at my toll free number.
