Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

I have bipolar disorder, and my professor was aware of this. In a manic state I sent her some non-threatening but very ill-conceived emails. She shared my incredibly embarrassing mental illness with pretty much the whole institution, she forwarded them to several people, and I don't feel like I will be able to show my face at that building again. Is this a HIPAA violation or something? I was extremely remorseful until I discovered she divulged my illness with everyone.

You should probably have a meeting with administration to voiced your concerns and work out a plan to remedy this situation. Your professor had a right to share your emails because you sent them in a public medium but perhaps not your medical condition.
