Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

I was chased by a couple of dogs that were not on leash. This caused me to crash while I was riding my bicycle. I have a scar on my elbow from road rash and a sprained wrist (after 4 months it still hurts) . I am going to see a physician and get my wrist looked at.

Questions:

1. When I file a case, can I sue the concerned person for causing scars ??

2. Medical bill so far is $1K, it might go up depending on the outcome of my wrist. What if my wrist cannot be fixed and it's a permanent damage ??

You can sue the owners of the dogs. In Indiana, you can obtain damages for lost wages, disfigurement, medical expenses and disability. You should contact an injury lawyer to further discuss your situation. Was there a police report made? Is there a leash law in the community? These are two of the questions that a lawyer will ask. When you talk to the lawyer have answers along with the date of the occurrence, names and addresses of the people involved, the breed of dog, location of the occurrence, the names and addresses of witnesses and the name and address for your medical care.
