Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

i fell of a ladder that required a metal plate and 13 screws, the landlord replaced the roof and the workers unmounted the satalite dish and after a week after the landlord said they called the satilite people i was trying to remount the dish and by doing so the ladder buckled and i sustained my injuries. can i sue the landlord for medical and pain and suffering? and the landlord denied the claim to thier homeowners insurance.
