Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

I had an indiana driver's liscence. It was revoked years ago by Michigan after I had a car accident in that state. They currently have a hold on my liscence years later. Michigan says the only way to remove this is to go through an appeal process in Michigan. I don't have the money to be transported there for court. Is there any other way around this?

Only Indiana can take away an Indiana license. Michigan can notify Indiana of the facts, but it is still an Indiana action. You should get a copy of the paperwork and your driving record from the BMV and show it all to a lawyer here who can make review it and tell you what state needs to do what to get the license back for you.

Good luck.

You need to start with the BMV in Indianapolis and find out what is required. They MAY have you contact Michigan in order to clear up the mater in that state. Make sure that you get correct information from the Indiana BMV as to exactly what you are required to do both in Indiana and in Michigan so that you don't make any mistakes. This is a complicated process, involving two states---it would be best if you retained an attorney to assist you.
