Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

I was involved in a car accident with an employee of my apartment complex. The employee who hit me has a suspended drivers license and the complex has yet to file an incident report. The accident was a hit and run and the police report isn't ready to be picked up yet. How do I handle this situation?

Were you hurt or is it just a property damage claim for your car? Have you notified your own inusrer of the wreck? You should do that if you haven't already. You will also want to get picutres of your car damage before it is repaired. Was it the employee's car or the complex's car? If there was insurance on the car the employee was driving, you may still be able to have that insurer pay your damages even though he was unlicensed. If you are unable to get to insurance on the other vehicle, you may be able to pursue your own insurer under the uninsured driver coverage.
