"My wife was injured in an auto accident of which it was not her fault. If the offending party only carries 50,000 - 100,000 personal injury liability limits, is there any way we can receive more than what they carry?"

Re: Excess coverage

It is possible that you might recover under your own uninsured motorist coverage. Assuming that there is that much damages for your wife, this is not a case you should be doing yourself. Hire a lawyer.
