Owner hires Broker to list and sell home. After 2 months, owner whats to cancel listing and hire new Broker to list and sell home. Original Broker wants a referral fee from new Broker - is this ethical or right?

Owner can't just cancel listing. If the listing has not expired, old broker may justifiably seek referral fee to waive enforcement of listing agreement.
