I am a realtor in Indiana. I recently received a "referral" from my companies relocation department. Nice. I have a signed offer for a home with the person named in the referral dated a week before this "referral". My companies relocation department seems to think that I can not refuse to accept this referral and will have to pay the relocation company 37 1/2 % of my commission??? I have emailed them a rejection of the referral, but am worried that I may get to closing only to hand over the commission check.
You need ot review the relocation contract between the relocation company and your company to determine what protocal is and also to determine whether there is a dispute resolution process.
