Sharing leased space

I signed a lease in IN with another business to share space. The other business brike the lease and due to poor sales I am wanting to close mu business, there is still a year left on my lease. I feel the lease was voided whrn the other business left, what are my rights?

It really depends on the wording of the lease itself. I suspect you may still be on the hook, but I would need to see the lease and ask a few other questions to be sure.

I would need to look at the lease and know more of the circumstances concerning the other business breaking the lease and any payments that you have made since then.

However, chances are you are going to be stuck unless you can find someone who is willing to assume the lease.
