Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

my son in law stole and pawned many personal items of my daughters, her computer, my mothers wedding rings,ect . the awn tickets were found during his arreat for a meth lab. the state police said she will have toay for her recovered items, including my mothers wedding rings, because they are married. is this true?

Generally speaking,all property brought into a marriage is conseidered to ne joint property regardless of whose name it may be in. An exception to that are items obtained by inheritance.
