Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

My father passed away very recently. My brother who literally hasn't seen my dad for six years went behind my back and became the "personal rep". For about three weeks the will was unknown. I found a copy of it. It is a copy, but it signed by my dad and two witnesses. Another problem, the attorney that made it, is deceased himself. And, I really don't know who the two witnesses are. It names me as the executer. However, I have a felony. I live in Indiana. Even though we have a signed will copy, does that mean its legal. My brother hasn't been apart of our family for over twenty years. He even made the comment that he is going to get his fair share. In the will, I am named to get almost everything. Dad and I worked together and did everything together. So naturally, he named me to get almost everything he owned. Do I have anything to worry about? I have no idea what is going on with the will and my brother and I don't speak. I don't even know if it has gone to probate yet. I have an attorney but haven't heard anything yet. Please let me know what you think.

If you have an attorney, you should get these answers from him. He has access to more information than you have provided here, so he can give you a more accurate assessment. If you haven't heard form him, make an appointment to see him in order to ask your questions. If your attorney doesn't respond, go to a different attorney.
