Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

Can a will include restrictions, such as a certain piece of property must go to a specific person after the first person to inherit it dies? Isn't it their property to dispose of as they see fit?

A will can include restrictions like the one you mentioned. For example, someone could leave a life estate in a house to Mary, meanng Mary gets it for her life, and then it goes to Joseph when Mary dies.
