Legal Question in Workers Comp in Indiana

I have been offered a summer internship. The organization offering it is a for profit as far as I know. (Minor league baseball team). They are offering two stipend checks of $500 for the summer. Divided out over the hours I would be required to work it comes out to about $6.66 per hour. That is less than minimum wage. Is this legal or am I entitled to minimum wage?

First of all be happy that you have such an offer and that it pays anything especially in this economy and in that area. There are people who would give their right arm to intern for a baseball team. That being said there are no general rules and the answer is way too complicated for this forum.

Some are. Some arent. It depends upon quite a few factors including whther you are getting any school credit. There is a very good indepth article by Willie Franzen that you can google and read.
