Legal Question in International Law in Indonesia

employment law indonesia

I am a US citizen, employed in Indonesia by a local company (not an a subsidiary of any foreign company) and my employment contract was subject to local legislation. Contract was terminated last month and the employer failed to pay me vacation days and last month. No explanation was given. I have to leave the country within 30 days. what can I do? Are there legal avenues to pursue? How is my foreign status going to affect the outcome or going about it? I m not familiar with the labor law of this country

Frankly, you might as well forget about the money because it would cost more to litigate something like that and longer than you have in the country. Contact us next time when you're negotiating a contract.
