Legal Question in Disability Law in Iowa

My father has alzheimer\'s and is living with friends and or family. He has been talked into buying items on credit but cannot afford them. Is he financially responsible? What about the business where he \"signs\" his credit away?

Unless he has a conservator appointed he's responsible. However taking advantage of elderly people in this manner is something that you would do well to contact the attorney general's office.
