Legal Question in Banking Law in Iowa

closure of checking account

I deposited 5 checks at different times to my Checking account, they were all fake. The bank is now closing my checking account. Can they legally do this? I had no idea they were fake. Was to take 10% for me and sned rest of money to designated address.
