Legal Question in Construction Law in Iowa

Still owes $2500
I am a contractor who completed a interior painting job. I have only been pd $2500 and she still owes me $2500. When she returned from out of town she called and stated she was not paying me. Her daughter in law walked thru the whole house with me to do there list of touch ups. when they called me they told me if I called them they would charge me with herasment. I when down & put a mechanic lean on her house it has been over two week & I have not heard anything I don't know what to do I have been in bus for 14yrs & have never had anyone not pay when jobs was completed

Take her to small claims court in your jurisdiction. This is a small enough amount that can be adjudicated by a referee..
