Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

illegal search and seizer

I had a guy renting out a room in my house and a search warrant was issued in his name for theft of a tv . upon doing the search of the house for him and the tv the police went to my section of the house that i rent and has a keyed intry to it ant searched and found sum marijuana in plain view . i was tooken into custody for interference for telling them they couldnt ehter my section that i rent without a seperate warrant . in the police reports they state upon doing the search they realized the warrant wasnt for me so they immediately stoped the search after alreaday going through most of my property in my room cause they thought it was the guy with the warrants room . they stoped the search and went down and got a search warrant in my name so they could finish searching my room . but they had already entered my room and searched through my property before they had the correct warrant so isnt that illegal search and seizer cause the house was rented out to two seperate couples and each had seperate rooms and keyed entrys to each couples living space ? all that was on the first warrant was the tv nothing else and it wasnt in my name so how can they search my living space if the warrant is for sum1 who was subleasing from me ?
