Can a coach in a public school, legally enforce his players to memorize Bible verses?

I'd say that would be impermissible. I don't know about you, but I don't think that makes the athletes play better.

I wouldn't think he can in a public high school. He could in a private high school. But in a public high school the separation of church and state would prohibit such activity.
