Legal Question in DUI Law in Iowa

Is there any way to get a OWI 1 (what they call a DUI in Iowa) removed from you record? I received one just over 5 years ago, when I was 19. I have been in absolutely no trouble since, and have not even been pulled over once.

I was denied a really good job that I wanted because of it. There is a company car involved, and they must insure you. They say that since the OWI has been in the last 10 years, I am uninsurable and therefore cannot be hired. I got the OWI in Iowa, but the new job is in Texas.

If the OWI was not on my record, I could get the job though. Is there anyway to get it removed for good behavior or anything like that?

If there is a way I don't know it. What was the type of conviction? Was it a deferred judgement? If so did you successfully complete the terms of the judgement? What were the terms? The answer may be in the actual terms of the Judge's order.
