Hipaa Law

A parent recently complained my clearance to wrestle was not accurate and went to the school board where she and the principle called my doctor and requested that they tell them whether or not i actually went and seen them and if i was cleared to wrestle..They also called the state athletic assoctiation and told them that my clearance was fals......the doctor immediatly denied them and informed my parents of the incident Is there anything that i can sue them for doin any of this?

In order to sue you have to suffer damages. If your doctor refused to give them information, then he did nothing wrong. They can ask for anything they want, they do not violate the law by asking. However, they do violate the law by publishing false statements about you. However, whether you could sue or not would be determined more by whether you suffered money damages as a result. I would guess you likely did not.
