During a deposition do I have the right to refuse to answer at that time and wait to answer during the trial, if I am only a witness to the civil case ?

The answer is most likely no. Your fifth amendment rights are not applicable in a deposition or in a criminal case unless by answering you are exposing yourself to prosecution.
