Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My husbands divorce papers state he has to pay 1/3 of college expense. how do we find out if that has to be paid up front or as part of the final bill when the child graduates?

There's a lot to the subject. See, Iowa Code section 598.21F I do not think that the courts have specifically addressed the issue of when payment must be made. In Marriage of Anderson-Gerels, 899 N.W.2d 741 (Iowa Ct. App 2017) payment was made at the beginning of the spring and fall semesters. Any attempt to deviate from paying the tuition bills as they come due might be seen as an attempt to evade responsibility for the debt. It's an obligation like any other.
