Legal Question in Insurance Law in Iowa

Dispute police report MVA

I was broadsided completing a left at a traffic light. The light was red by the time traffic subsided. A truck ran a red light. He ran over to me claiming it was his fault and how his truck slid when he was stopping. He denied liability the next day. And, the police report has inaccurate information which states I failed to yield. His insurance denied my claim and fortunately I have found 2 witnesses who overheard him saying it was his fault. It has been 2 weeks and I am not sure what to do next

Re: Dispute police report MVA

It's not unusual for a person involved in an accident to change their mind after a day or two of reflection. My advice is simple, if you have insurance give the names and contact information of the two witnesses to the adjuster who works for your ins. company. If you are hurt then find a lawyer and provide them with the same information. Witness statements need to be recorded. Take photographs of the damage to both vehicles and the intersection.
